FAQ

How do infrared anti-radar stickers work?

Anti-radar stickers are manufactured with high-tech inks and polymers to reflect only the infrared light emitted by infrared cameras (infrared radars (CCTV, Sony Night Shot)). When the film is illuminated by the infrared flash of the cameras, it reflects the light back, causing overexposure and removing the contrast between the black letters and the white background, blinding the infrared camera lens and making the numbers and letters invisible.

What is infrared light and why is it used in radar cameras?

It is a light invisible to the human eye that operates in the spectrum above 720 nm to 940 nm. Only cameras or night vision devices that contain a filter or are sensitive to infrared can see it. It is used to illuminate cars, motorcycles, and trucks at night or in places with poor visibility for the camera. Examples include cloudy days, rainy days, and fog. The advantage of infrared in radars is that, because it is invisible light, it does not blind drivers like a normal visible flash, and since the flash cannot be seen, the cameras remain stealthy and ready to fine you again next time. Currently, most radars in large cities use infrared light.

How do I know if the radars in my city are infrared?

First, test with a remote control, point the remote at your cell phone and press any button and see if the cell phone display emits a red/purple light. Similarly, to test if the speed cameras in your city are infrared, point your cell phone at night at the speed camera and see if the boxes next to the camera emit a red/purple light.

If I am stopped, will they see the stickers on my license plate?

No!!! The stickers are ultra-thin and have the same shape and color as the letters on the license plate and are invisible. At any time of day or night, anyone looking at or using the flash on cell phones or cameras, car headlights, or flashlights will not be able to see the anti-radar stickers on the license plate, as they only work against infrared cameras.

Does it work during the day?

Yes, but only on rainy, very dark, foggy days or at dusk, because the camera is forced to turn on the infrared flash to take better pictures or record better in these conditions. Rest assured that the anti-radar stickers will pay for themselves in a very short period of time! And they will guarantee your privacy against any type of infrared camera!

What about the law, is it prohibited?

There is no legislation in the traffic code for this type of product. This is because the numbers and letters will not be visually modified or erased, and the CTB (Brazilian Traffic Code) does not say that license plates must be photogenic for cameras and radars, so it is not prohibited.

How many stickers should I use?

Please note that only one sticker has no effect against radar, as the radar software will cross-reference your vehicle's data (vehicle type, color, municipality, and the rest of the characters), and they will be able to identify your car. You must use at least four stickers to be effective against radars. Example: license plate (abc-1234) after placing four stickers (two letters - (a & b) and two numbers - (1 & 4)), the radar will see your license plate as c-23. You will never receive another fine, as your vehicle will be invisible to radars.
